Maybe it was nostalgia; perhaps a dedication to heritage and my personal history persuaded me to travel 2 hours to Yah So. I read through the menu online where Google said “website,” the click returned a pretty cool-looking menu sheet but no website. Nonetheless, I was excited to try the Yardie Dutty Burger (which, for the unadvised audience, is patwa for Jamaican Dirty Burger). Here’s how I got on. Before we start, a quick side note I have always wondered about the success of Chinese, Indian, and Italian restaurants compared to their Caribbean counterparts. Consider the culinary excitement at Notting Hill Carnival,…

Having tried one of Flingate’s burgers before and being mildly impressed, I thought giving the Mac Daddy a review wouldn’t be a bad idea. Remember the size of Flintgate’s Big Smoke? It was a huge burger, and I was hoping that the Mac Daddy would be of similar stature on this fine Sunday evening. Too hot to cook indoors, too much effort in the heat to walk to town, a Deliveroo order would be the only option. Read on to find out how it went. The Bun: 15/20 It’s a pretty standard brioche that tasted nice. The bun had quite a lot…

The thought of eating insects repulses me, I cannot lie. I think the whole “I’m a Celebrity” thing is quite cool to watch on television but the fact remains, cooked or uncooked, insects are not for me! I mean, the thought of eating mealworms or maggots is more disturbing than it is funny. How people can expect this to be something that takes off into a global market is beyond me but hey, let’s see where it goes! Have a read of this article let us know what YOU think?!

After being cancelled last year due to the pandemic Winter Wonderland once again opened its doors to the public for Christmas. The booking procedure was a little different having to book in ‘sessions’ in an attempt to limit the number of people attending the Hyde Park venue. I have not been to Winter Wonderland before; I have only seen it on multiple social media profiles and spoken to friends about it. My son’s birthday seemed a perfect opportunity to debut in Winter Wonderland, London, albeit in a quiet morning session from 10 am – 1 pm. Booking System and Entry…

Popeyes Fried Chicken, although technically out of our jurisdiction, is a brand that has had my eyes watering because of its inaccessible journey across the pond. Just the thought of those golden pieces of chicken is enough to make a grown man feel warm inside. Seeing that they are about to launch in the UK on November 20 means a trip to Stratford for us!London’s New Vegan Burger I have been reluctant to try any vegan burger, it really just is not my bag! However, with the addition of a Red Bean Burger with a ‘creole’ seasoning, I am ready to…

We’ve eaten Burgers for a yearA little over a year and 63 reviews down makes you reflect on the journey that is Cheeseburgerme. Our first review was done in preparation for the launch of the site in the shape of the Nanny Bills Hot Box Burger DIY using our unique scoring system. Although there has been no need of changing our scoring system our understanding of the scoring has certainly evolved through the last 13 months. Perhaps some of our scores in the initial stages were too harsh some, perhaps, too generous. We are at a stage now where we…

Burj Al Arab – Instagrammable Settings At CheeseburgerMe.com, we are primarily looking for the best cheeseburger in London, but that does not stop us from looking out for the best cheeseburgers around the world too.  On a recent trip to Dubai, I had a chance to get out for a couple of memorable cheeseburgers which I will cover here in the blog.  In the last post, I tackled my views on Black Tap, and this week I want to talk about a very memorable lunch at the Burj al Arab, the landmark hotel on the Dubai coast that looks like…

At CheeseburgerMe.com, we are primarily looking for the best cheeseburger in London, but that does not stop us from looking out for the best cheeseburgers around the world too. On a recent trip to Dubai, I had a chance to get out for a couple of memorable cheeseburgers which I will cover here in the blog.  First, I want to talk about Black Tap (https://blacktap.com/) which is a small but highly regarded burger and beer chain out of NY City.  I had a chance to try it a few years ago at the Marina Sands Mall in Singapore where it was…
