Last week, McDonald’s released an item on its UK menu called Chilli Cheese Bites. The snack consists of either four or 12 deep-fried balls coated in a chili pepper batter and served with a tomato dipping sauce.
Burger King first started a conversation on Facebook by posting: “Can I copy your homework?” In response, people would say: “Yeah just change it doesn’t look obvious you copied.”
The photo of the Burger King meal, which is also called “Chilli Cheese Bites” includes a side-by-side comparison with a similar McDonald’s snack, as well as a caption that reads: “Burger King Chilli Cheese Bites vs. McDonalds Ketchup Snack.” According to Burger King’s menu, its Chili Cheese Bites come in six pieces and are “crispy coated with smooth and spicy cheese inside.” With “a unique taste of chilli,” their menu claims, each piece is “a new taste sensation.”
Many people agreed with Burger King’s recent marketing campaign, saying that the company’s taste and quality was superior to McDonald’s. What do you guys think? McDonalds vs Burger King could be an unfair versus in my opinion given that it is hardly Apples to Apples. Burger King does seem to produce higher quality food, but to be frank, it is not in the same realm as some of the burger joints we have tried. Just have a look at our Hit List for some of the big boys in “Burger London”.
More items on the McDonald’s menu include The Big Tasty Burger, a “100 per cent beef patty,” and the McChicken, which consists of a “100 per cent white meat chicken” and is made from “two all-white boneless chicken breast fillets.” Does make you consider the truth, however, when you actually eat these, in comparison with Burger Kings’ Whopper! There is a little something about that little piece of chargrilled heaven, even if they use liquid smoke to modify the flavour!
